Synopsis:
Beauty, love, work… sometimes it isn’t even worth getting out of bed. The film is a contemplative vision of boredom in contemporary human life, portrayed through a series of vignettes: a Wall Street broker, a Moroccan desert nomad, the last living female spy of World War II, a painter who has been painting Time for 42 years, and Brenda Spencer—the first school shooter in history, who at age 16 killed eleven people because “I don’t like Mondays”. John Malkovich’s deep, prophet-like voice gives voice to today’s bored human psyche. A boldly non-linear narrative from a director unlike any other in her choice of topics.
