DESCRIPTION

Cine-Argo is the cinematheque of the Argo Museum of Contemporary Art and Cultural Centre, dedicated to the presentation, curation, and critical engagement with cinema. Established in July 2023 with the screening of See You Friday, Robinson! directed by Mitra Farahani, Cine-Argo has since pursued a programmatic, research-driven approach to film. Its curatorial focus has included retrospectives and thematic explorations of the works of Ebrahim Golestan, Kamran Shirdel, and Forough Farrokhzad; the Iranian Cinema-ye Azad movement; and international figures such as Pier Paolo Pasolini, Jonas Mekas, and key works from the New German Cinema.
