Synopsis:
The Nine Muses is an experimental essay-film that combines imagery of Alaska’s snow-covered landscapes with archival footage to reflect on the experience of migrants who came to Britain from the 1960s onwards. The film’s narration is composed entirely of fragments from writers ranging from Homer and Dante to Joyce, Eliot, Beckett, and Dickinson. A vast dreamscape of migration, memory, and exile.
